Vest, body warmer, gilet, one of those coats with no sleeves - whatever you call it, the down vest is an essential part of your winter wardrobe. I've always been a big fan of the vest and throughout my life I've faced an ongoing barrage of jibes from people of a certain age asking me if I've 'jumped ship'.
