Courage & Progress Notebooks

Based in Sheffield, UK, Courage & Progress aims to bring you a carefully curated collection of products that are beautifully crafted and very well made. These are early days and the brand is fledgling, but we are about to launch our first set of notebooks through Indeigogo and we invite you to join us on our journey as we take courage and make progress.

Made in England to our own specification, our notebooks will come in three striking colours with either lined, dotted, or squared paper. With three different users in mind - the explorer, the writer and the inventor - we have named our notebooks after legends in those fields - Oates, Wallis and Eliot.

OATES
190 PAGES OF DOT PAPER

Captain Lawrence Oates was an English cavalry officer and Antarctic explorer. He died during the Terra Nova Expedition when he sacrificed his own life so that his companions could live. Upon realising that his condition was slowing down his party's escape from Antarcitica he wandered into a blizzard alone and chose certain death to preserve the lives of his friends.

WALLIS
190 PAGES OF SQUARED PAPER

Sir Barnes Neville Wallis was an English scientist, engineer and inventor. He is best known for his work with the Royal Air Force in Operation Chastise, otherwise known the "Dambusters" raid. Among his other inventions were the geodetic airframe and the earthquake bomb.

ELIOT
190 PAGES OF LINED PAPER

Thomas Stearns Eliot, was an essayist, publisher, playwright, and one of the twentieth century's major poets. Eliot attracted widespread attention for his poem The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. It was followed by some of the best-known poems in the English language. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1948.
