The Numbers Game - Russia's Secret Stations

During the decade leading up to 1992, from a secret location in the dense forests around Moscow, a radio station, known as UVB-76, broadcast almost nothing but continuous beeps. One day, without any warning, it switched to a on-off sharp buzzer sound that cut through the dark of the Russian night and carried across the Northern hemisphere. Occasionally, the buzzer was interrupted by a male voice reading sequences of names and numbers. Was this a signal to Soviet agents in the field? Was it related to the Russian Dead Hand system?

Go, and Be - The Scottish Highlands

Last month, Josh Brine took a trip to explore the magnificence of the Scottish Highlands and fell in love. This video, as a result, is Josh's simple thank you to the memories the highlands gave and the lesson they taught him:

"Life is short. Enjoy it. Go have fun. Go somewhere that makes you nervous. Do something stupid for a change. Do something you said you wanted to do. Build memories. Build relationships. Build some kids. Then build some Legos. Build a life with your love and never let her go. Just go, and be."

SILCA HX-One Toolkit

Few tools can cause as much heartache or wasted time as the seemingly simple hex key. It's the key to the toolboxes of motorsport engineers and pro-tour mechanics who recognise that better tool fit leads to better feel and confidence as well as a significant reduction in the likelihood of damaging exotic fasteners and components.

The Chelsea Deck Clock

The US Navy has relied on the accuracy and durability of The Chelsea Deck Clock to synchronize its fleets since 1917. A design that's remained largely unchanged for almost a hundred years, The mechanical Deck Clock is a classic example of fine American clock making.

True to its origins and intimately engineered, the Deck Clock features an all-American mechanical movement that has remained at top of its class for the past century, and is the one choice for true authenticity. The mechanical movement needs to be wound once a week but thats just part of the ritual.

Best Made Company has finally brought the Chelsea Clock Company's Deck clock to the civilian market. Made in the USA by the last remaining manufacturer of the American mechanical clock, peerless in its precision, timeless in its design; for nigh on a century the Chelsea Deck Clock has earned the trust of admirals and explorers alike. If you don't happen to have an have a aircraft carrier, then the deck clock would like great in your home office, workshop or even in the kitchen.
