NASA's Visions of the Future Posters

NASA recently unveiled a new collection of retro style travel posters to coincide with a $19 billion budget request to fund a manned mission to Mars. The posters were designed at NASA's famous Jet Propulsion Laboratory and depict exotic and far-flung locations like Titan and Ceres, worlds who's conditions make manned exploration virtually impossible, for now.

While manned travel to these worlds may seem like a pipe dream right now, its important to remember that we're already half way there. In 2015 Nasa's Dawn spacecraft arrived in orbit around Ceres, the Juno missions are set to provide new insights into the polar caps of Jupiter, and we have already touched down on Titan and discovered much about its surface from the Cassini orbiter. These posters are proof that NASA certainly have their sights set on bigger and better things. The space race isn't over, it's only just begun.
