Levi's presents The 501 Jean: Stories of an Original

Take a look at this short film from Levi's celebrating the heritage of the world famous 501 pattern jean. Since they introduced the riveted denim jean over a century ago, Levi’s have tweaked every element of the iconic 501 to suit the needs and preferences of the modern worker. The subtle shifts in design, often only apparent to the discerning eye, help tell the story of the Levi’s brand and the ever-evolving landscape of the modern American frontier.

Levi Strauss, along with his business partner and long time customer Jacob Davis, designed and built the 501 for miners in the California gold rush and they've been constantly evolving ever since. After 163 years of innovation, the best jeans in the world are still made in America, on the same shuttle looms at the same factory in North Carolina where they've always been made.

The 501 is a true original, a pop culture icon and a staple of wardrobes world wide - they're the jeans that built America and broke down the Berlin wall. Every pair of jeans tell a story, and these jeans have a lot to say.
